Broadband Internet access refers to a fast, always on Internet connection. The technology we use is called ADSL and if you haven't used it before, we strongly recommend that you contact us to ensure you have an understanding of how it works and what you need. Here is a summary, of what you need and what you will pay:
An ADSL modem
We setup the modem so it's easier for you to install. We use a high quality model from Netcomm that is compatible with new ADSL2+ technology so you will not have to buy a new modem when this becomes available. $99.00 including delivery in the Sydney metro region. You can provide your own modem if you prefer.
Setup fee
This charge is to provision your service. Sadly we don't make a cent out of this as we charge this fee at our cost. $110.00
Telephone line filter
If you will be sharing your ADSL line with a telephone, you need a filter to prevent any interference. One filter is supplied with our modem but if you have additional phone outlets, you need additional filters. Price varies on configuration.
ADSL plan
Broadband plans are different from dial-up in that you pay for the amount of data you use. Each plan has a data allowance. If you reach your allowance, you must choose whether you want the speed to drop back to modem speed (shaped plans), or pay an excess (usage plans). Plans vary on the speed of the connection and the amount of included data.
Once you know which plan you'd like, please complete our order form or get in contact if you have any questions.
